In this video course, the student will learn the necessary skills and tools for administering Windows Server 2012. The series will cover the following topics: deploying, maintaining, and monitoring Windows Server 2012, configuring advanced file services in Windows Server 2012, configuring network services and access, configuring network policy server infrastructure, configuring and managing active directory, and configuring and managing group policy. Students will be walked through the tools, techniques, and practices required to use Windows Server 2012. They will look at various functionality provided by the additional role services that are a part of the file server role in Windows Server 2012. Students will take a look at how connections are established throughout a network through the Domain Name System, and the ways that remote connections are created within the Windows Server 2012. They will learn the different functionalities for a remote access infrastructure, and will gain an overview of the server role and Active Directory Domain Services. Last but not least, the student will learn the skills to work with the Group Policy Management Console, how to configure Group Policy settings, the controls used in applying Group Policy, and the resourcefulness of Group Policy templates.
